Know who grows
sustainably with you.

We give every company a single, evidence-based sustainability score. Search any company registered in Belgium to see how it works.

There is plenty of sustainability information out there. It's fragmented, hard to understand, and difficult to verify. In business, sustainability has become increasingly about regulations, compliance, and administration… Rather than impact.

SustainCheck was foundedto endgreenwashing

Someone has to connect all the dots out there, and give sustainability teams their time back, so they can focus on what truly matters. But in order to connect the dots, someone needs to collect the dots…

That's why we are

Building Europe's largest sustainability database.

We go straight to the source to separate facts from noise. By bringing together verified, evidence-based sustainability data, we're making greenwashing harder and creating the foundation for a more trustworthy AI era.

A score built around risk.

Sustainability and compliance can be a difficult maze to navigate. Our score estimates the sustainability risk associated with each company, making complex information easier to understand and act on.

Higher score = lower identified risk.

Risk starts with context.

Not every company operates under the same conditions. The country a company operates in and the activities it performs influence its exposure to sustainability risks. We use this context to establish a baseline risk for every company.

Context sets the risk. Evidence changes it.

A higher-risk context doesn't mean a company is necessarily high risk. It means there is more potential exposure, and therefore a greater need for evidence.

Certifications, policies, disclosures, and other relevant evidence can demonstrate that specific risks have been (partially) addressed. When sufficient evidence covers a risk, the identified risk decreases, and the score increases.

FAQ

Questions that keep coming back.

Do you have more questions? Do not hesitate to contact us.

SustainCheck is an automated sustainability intelligence platform. For any company, we combine public data (company registries, verified certifications, and financial filings) into one clear score. Nothing is based on a questionnaire the company fills in about itself; the underlying data is public and traceable back to its source.

The score is built across four dimensions: Environmental, Social, Governance, and Financial Health, following the relevant ESRS topics. We start from a baseline risk determined by the country a company operates in and the activities it performs, then adjust it based on evidence: certifications, policies, disclosures, and other verifiable data that address that risk. The more evidence covers a risk, the higher the score. See how we calculate a score for the full walkthrough.

We appreciate the scepticism. Trust has to be earned, especially with data. Every data point on SustainCheck can be traced back to its source. For the SustainCheck score specifically, we combine data about your company itself with statistical data about the country and sector it operates in. You can find the full breakdown on our score explained page.

No. Belgian companies have the most complete coverage through our integrations with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO/BCE) and the National Bank of Belgium. For companies outside Belgium, we don't yet have the same level of registry access, but we're expanding our coverage to other countries. In the meantime, we use country- and sector-level data to establish a baseline risk profile for international suppliers, so you're never left with a blank assessment simply because a company isn't Belgian.

Today you can search for any company by name or company/VAT number, or add one manually if it isn't in our database yet. We're also building Excel upload and direct integrations with the accounting tools you already use (Exact Online, Odoo, Teamleader, and others), so your suppliers can be imported automatically. Using a tool that isn't on our list? Let us know at wave@sustaincheck.com and we'll prioritize it.

Yes. You don't need to manage every supplier by hand. Filter and sort by score, risk level, or expiring certifications to focus on what actually needs your attention first.

We're continuously expanding our database. Today we verify certifications directly at the source, including Fairtrade, B Corp, and ISO certifications issued through IAF-accredited certification bodies. Missing one you rely on? Let us know at wave@sustaincheck.com, it helps us prioritize what to add next.

Which companies you track stays private to your account. We never share your supplier list, your watchlist, or the fact that you're monitoring a specific company; not with the companies you're tracking, and not with other SustainCheck customers. What we show you about any individual company is the same publicly sourced data available to anyone looking that company up on SustainCheck; we're not redistributing anything you tell us by adding it to your supply chain.

No, it's a complement. A consultant brings strategic advice and hands-on, client-facing guidance. SustainCheck gives you the data backbone behind that work: always up to date, and without the manual research hours.

Most sustainability ratings rely at least partly on a questionnaire the company being rated fills in about itself. SustainCheck's score is built entirely from public, verifiable sources instead: company registries, financial filings, and certifications we check directly with the issuing body. There's no form for a company to fill in before it gets a score.

Yes. We built SustainCheck around GDPR requirements from the start, see our full privacy policy for exactly what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

Our underlying sources (company registries, certification databases like Fairtrade, financial filings) sync automatically, most on a daily cycle. Scores and company profiles update as soon as new information becomes available, and you'll get a notification when something changes for a company you're tracking.

Yes. Visit our Your company and privacy page for a full explanation of what we process about your company and why, plus how to request access, correction, or removal.

SustainCheck is free to use during our launch month (September 2026): full access, no credit card, no feature limits. Pricing beyond that hasn't been finalized publicly yet; check our pricing section for the latest updates.
